Asbestos abatement may be required for renovation, remodeling, or maintenance.  This usually involves moving ceiling tile, repairing plumbing or anything else that contains asbestos. Asbestos abatement is done inside enclosures to prevent the fibers from spreading.  Air handling units serving the affected areas are turned off until the work is completed to keep the fibers from spreading to other areas. Workers wear respirators and disposable coveralls to protect themselves while working. To prevent any attached fibers from getting into the surrounding air, the coveralls are disposed of when the worker exits the enclosure.

Lead mitigation may be needed during remodeling, demolition, or other property modification. It has been estimated that over half of all buildings in the United States constructed before 1978 contain lead paint. Our abatement services include lead-based paint removal, lead-based paint oil decontamination, and full enclosure of the contaminated area. Lead mitigation and abatement is done using a HEPA vacuum to thoroughly clean lead dust.

Mold remediation services to address mold growth include the removal of contaminated material, cleaning the HVAC system (if needed), and scrubbing infrastructure with special disinfectant to remove all mold spores. We use a HEPA vacuum to clean work areas, and offer restoration services to restore the area to its original condition.

Bulb, ballast, and PCB disposal services are available to safely handle and dispose of hazardous substances, including mercury and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), used in some fluorescent bulbs and ballasts. We dispose of all hazardous materials in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
